WHO ARE WE?
Celulosa y Papel del Bajío S.A. de C.V (CEYPABASA) was founded in 1982 in the city of León in the Guanajuato state of Mexico (within the Bajío region). The company was then the only paper manufacturer in the state, and constituted an important single source of employment to the city.
Throughout the years, CEYPABASA has successfully integrated to the region´s economy, taking advantage of the growth that the region has experimented.
Currently the company purchases the majority of its supplies and raw materials from small and medium sized local enterprises.
CEYPABASA daily manufactures 130 tons of recycled paper, all of which is entirely made of old corrugated paper, avoiding the use of virgin fiber. Our paper is certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
We value sustainability, so we aim to increase the use clean energies in our manufacturing process. In the last ten years, a set of solar cells and a natural gas cogeneration system have been installed; both of which have helped us reduce consumption of dirty energies.

All our paper is manufactured on a single machine, which has online control of basis weight and humidity.
FLEXIBILITY
The characteristics of our machine, being mixed (dryers and yankee), allow us to manufacture a very wide range of papers, both in their grammages and in the finish (satin).
